One Saint Lucia is a new development agenda for the Caribbean Island nation of Saint Lucia. The client is a former Cabinet minister who is rallying support for a movement to unite the country, based on sweeping changes to the country’s constitution and the way government operates. The direction was to re-design a site that contained text-heavy content, intimidating subject matter, and overwhelming navigation. The old site contained a collection of 68 political articles written in formal language that had to be migrated into the new site. The mandate was to design a site that appeals to Saint Lucia’s common people, organize the volume of information, and create an easily navigable site that is clear and understandable.
I personally read all articles on the site, determined common themes, and broad subjects that can be categorized into sub-headings. All articles were moved to “blog’ style article pages, images were thoughtfully chosen to address the party’s brand. Webwworks designed the party’s new logo that included the brand colors of opposing pollical parties, and reflects unity.
